Rick partners with teams and organizations to facilitate myriad processes from effective meetings to strategic planning sessions. Rick brings a lightness to the process while ensuring that meetings, planning sessions and retreats are action-oriented toward an agreed upon result. Rick knows that the best learning that happens within a formal learning environment happens when he can engage as a facilitator. Drawing on years of adult education expertise, Rick helps set a context for learners that is safe and non-threatening, fun and exhilarating, thought provoking and relevant. While Rick brings years of formal education and experience to his workshops, courses and programs, he honours the diversity and perspectives of all his co-learners.

In his career, Rick has led the development and has facilitated leader development courses and programs for individuals—leaders—at all levels of the organization.
At the core of leadership is influence. At the core of influence is the leadership conversation. Rick engages leaders in the exploration of how they show up in this very conscious conversation.
Essential to this exploration is self-awareness—the point of departure for anyone truly interested in developing themselves fully. Understanding oneself from many different powers—the power of language, the power of mood & emotion, the power of the body—enables the leader to immerse in how their conversation serves them. This exploration is complimented through the use of diagnostic tools, such as 3600 feedback and Insights DiscoveryTM and Insights NavigatorTM. - team
Greater awareness and understanding of individual strengths and areas of development are at the core of team development. With this, teams can then begin to understand, acknowledge and appreciate the strengths and areas of development at their—the team—level. Once known, Rick engages the team in a conversation centred on enhancing strengths and creating solutions to address the challenges identified. - Rick's coaching premise begins with his desire to assist people "get out of their own way"—to partner, challenge and support individuals and teams to remove the barriers that may be in the way of them achieving their "greatness". From a place of integrity, authenticity, and curiosity, Rick inspires his clients to delve deep, to reflect, to observe, to wonder, to become more aware and to set action toward building a presence that is in service to who and what they desire to be in the organization and our world.
Rick's use of the many tools and diagnostics from the InsightsTM learning solutions system has proven very successful in both individual and team coaching conversations. Rick also uses 3600 feedback instruments and draws on an ontological approach to coaching which encourages conscious exploration of how our language, moods & emotions, and body impacts and informs our conversations.
Another one of Rick's passions is to assist people to create inspirational, personal and unique interior spaces, whether that be at home or at work.
Rick pulls on his years of facilitation and coaching expertise to help individuals, couples and families bring dream spaces into their home environments—to create the atmosphere they wish for in their living spaces.
